
MONITORING, EVALUATION &TECHNICAL ASSISTANCE

In 2008, GT conducted monitoring and evaluation visits to a total of 15 organizations in Bangladesh, Guatemala, India, Indonesia, Kosovo, Turkey and U.S.A to evaluate the performance of different organizations, their weaknesses and strengths, their understanding and application of Grameen methodology and the initiatives they have taken or need to take for their development.
In order to ensure smooth and successful implementation of microcredit programs of the partner organizations, GT conducts onsite and offsite monitoring through visiting their programs by evaluating monthly and quarterly as well as other reports prepared by them. Grameen Trust attaches utmost importance to its monitoring and evaluation task, as through this GT ensures effective implementation of the programs by providing necessary assistance, whenever required.
Grameen Trust provides technical assistance to the organizations that face problem in terms of loan recovery or attainment of operational or financial viability by sending resource persons. Resource persons evaluate different components of the program including program design, systems of internal control, outreach, impact, accounting etc. and provide assistance to help the organizations sort out their problems and attain operational viability.

On the basis of the above, the organizations are guided and supervised to improve their performance and quality of their financial services to the poor.
