Progress and Highlights in 2008

In 2008, Grameen Trust completed its 20th year as an organization providing financial, technical and other services to microcredit organizations across the globe and directly implementing Grameen type microcredit programs in countries where it is needed most. So far, GT has provided financial and technical assistance to 144 organizations in 38 countries. Under its Direct Implementation and Joint Collaboration programs GT is directly implementing microcredit projects in China, Costa Rica, Guatemala, India, Indonesia, Kosovo, Turkey, U.S.A. and Zambia. The BOT project in Myanmar has already been handed over to the host organization.
