In 2009, fifty three Interns participated in the Internship Program of Grameen Trust. Through this Program, GT provides an opportunity to students to have an in depth understanding of microcredit in general and Grameen methodology in particular.

In this year, most of the Interns showed interest in Grameen America Inc., which is operational in the U.S.A. They were interested to learn about the challenges faced by GAI and how these difficulties have been addressed by the staff. Some Interns showed interest in "Project Dignity", the program that Grameen Trust has introduced for the beggars. Other Interns studied the reports of the direct implementation programs in different countries in order to gain insights of implementing microcredit programs following Grameen Bank model in different socio-economic set up.

Many Interns of Grameen Bank visited GT in this year to gain knowledge on its activities and replication experience. They were very interested to know about the direct implementation projects in different countries. Some of them took special interest in partner organizations of Grameen Trust in their respective countries.
