Progress and Highlights in 2009



In 2009, Grameen Trust completed its 21st year as an organization providing financial, technical and other services to microcredit organizations across the globe and directly implementing Grameen type microcredit programs in countries where it is needed most. So far, GT has provided financial and technical assistance to 146 organizations in 38 countries. Under its Direct Implementation and Joint Collaboration programs GT is directly implementing microcredit projects in Costa Rica, Guatemala, India, Indonesia, Kosovo, Turkey, U.S.A. and Zambia. The BOT project in Myanmar has already been handed over to the host organizations.
