In January 2005, GT assigned a senior officer of Grameen Bank with over 15 years of experience, to the South Asia Research Society (SARS) in West Bengal, India to rehabilitate its Hasnabad branch.

The repayment rate started to increase and the credit discipline begun to be re-established under the guidance and supervision of the GT resource person, . The repayment rate at the Hasnabad Branch was 18% in December 2004, prior to the deployment of GT resource person. By the end of 2009, the repayment rate rose up to 86%.
