Grameen Bank Training for Grameen Trust Staff

Center Meeting of Grameen Bank
Newly recruited staff of Grameen Trust underwent Grameen Bank Basic Training to gain hands-on exposure to the Grameen Banking methodologies. The Training Institute of Grameen Bank organized the two-week intensive training program for them.

The training included theoretical classes at the Grameen Bank Training Institute for one day at the beginning and ten days at the branch level to learn from the field level operations and also to complete the assignments given by the Institute and Grameen Trust. The trainees prepared case studies on successful borrowers and wrote a report about the steps a Branch Manager takes to ensure that a branch becomes viable.

The last day of the training ended with the participants being required to sit for a written test to ensure that they had truly understood Grameen methodologies, which is very important for them to work in Grameen Trust which is committed to the cause of poverty alleviation through the replication of the Grameen model.
