| 2nd Annual Social Business Day Celebrated |
The 2nd annual Social Business Day events were held on June 28, 2011, at the Pan Pacific Sonargaon Hotel in Dhaka. Nobel Laureate Professor Muhammad Yunus opened the event that was attended by over 500 national and international guests. Participants from 15 countries came to learn about the developments in social business around the world.

| Social Business as a Solution |
The basic concept of social business came to my mind because that is the kind of thing I was doing. Traditionally we talk about business as a vehicle to earn money, to make profit. The whole idea of business was built around the idea of making money. We all know that the earliest form of business was barter, the exchange of one good for another goods. You have something, and I have something else, and we exchange them so that both of us are better off. You have rice and I have fish. So we exchange some rice for some fish. After the exchange both of us have rice and fish. Both are happier.

The fourth Global Microcredit Summit will be held from November 14 to 17, 2011, in Valladolid, Spain. Delegates from more than 90 countries, as well as more than 250 panelists and chairs for the workshops have already confirmed their participation in the summit. HM Queen Sofia of Spain, HRH Prince Talal, Spanish Secretary of State Dª Soraya Rodríguez Ramos, former Mexican President Vicente Fox, Nobel Laureate Professor Muhammad Yunus, Sir Fazle Abed, cabinet ministers from Costa Rica, Panama, and Ecuador, are among the dignitaries who are scheduled to join the Summit, which will be held at the Centro Cultural Miguel Delibes (CCMD).
